Celebrate 10 years of the Truro Pride Parade with an evening social marked by amazing speakers who have been involved in Truro Pride from its humble beginnings to today. Taking place at the H. Douglas Boyce Village Hall in Bible Hill, starting at 6 pm. Organized alongside the Town of Truro and the Village of Bible Hill.
We acknowledge that the Truro Pride: Pride Week takes place in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship with Mi’kmaq Peoples. We are all Treaty people.
Truro Pride would also like to recognize the historic communities of African descent in the this region. Their histories, and culture are a key part of this region. For generations people belonging to these communities of African descent have experienced racism and inequities that are still present today. We will continue to listen to the Black communities and work together to amplify marginalized voices.
